About The Position

AFC's Legal Team is seeking a sharp, motivated, fast-learning administrative professional to provide daily support to multiple attorneys and legal administration assistance to field offices and corporate risk prevention personnel. The role involves a variety of tasks including processing reports and checks, preparing legal pleadings, scanning and copying, general clerical work, and account file reviews. Successful members of the legal department are timely, considerate, communicate clearly, can refocus despite interruptions, invest in self-improvement, and pay close attention to details.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree with a paralegal certificate and three (3) years of experience or Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience
  • Superior commitment to client service
  • Being an impactful and cooperative team player that works just as well independently
  • Effective planning, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Excellent administrative, document preparation and proofreading skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while taking direction from multiple individuals
  • Positive and professional demeanor

Nice To Haves

  • Knack for problem solving and using sound judgment to solve complex issues
  • Previous auto industry experience
  • Experience with Google products

Responsibilities

  • Prepare legal documents and correspondence
  • Assemble and file court documents electronically
  • Maintain client files and contact information
  • Process collection payments on accounts
  • Analyze and report on loan documentation to assemble placement packets to send to law firms and advise on deficiencies for loan documentation
  • Gather all relevant documents and assemble document requests
  • Formulate dashboards and reports internally for legal reporting
  • Aggregate information from a variety of electronic sources for filing lawsuits
  • Perform other duties, as assigned
