About The Position

Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for a Legal Administrative Assistant for our St. Louis office. This position will provide administrative support to Litigation lawyers in a highly collaborative working environment. This is a hybrid position requiring three days in the office and two days remote each week.

Requirements

  • 2+ years Litigation administration experience in a mid- to large-sized law firm preferable
  • Proficient in legal secretarial and administrative tasks including, but not limited to, document preparation, filing, time entry, expenses, telephone contact, travel arrangements, and calendar maintenance
  • Must be familiar with local court rules; preferably familiar with Missouri and Illinois state court rules and federal court rules
  • Possess exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, work independently, and multi-task a must. Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and excellent client service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
  • Must have a solid ability to learn and adapt to new software programs
  • Excellent written and oral communication and strong organizational skills
  • Must be detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and have the ability to prioritize incoming/outgoing tasks
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Intapp, iManage, ChromeRiver/Emburse, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for document preparation, editing, file maintenance, client billing and overall administrative support for multiple timekeepers
  • Work with timekeepers, input time entry, pleadings, process invoices for payments, manage professional affiliations and CLE requirements, process mail and perform other requested administrative duties as required
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for clients in person and by phone
  • Arrange travel and process expense reimbursements
  • Handles confidential/sensitive firm and/or client information
  • These duties may be ongoing or ad-hoc in nature
  • Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements for this position
