About The Position

Gurstel Law Firm P.C. is seeking a dedicated Legal Administrative Assistant Manager to join their team. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating supportive services for the organization, requiring advanced legal knowledge and experience. The position will assist the Legal Administration Manager in supervising staff and overseeing day-to-day operations of the Administrative Department. Key responsibilities include involvement in staffing decisions, frequent interaction with attorneys and other departments, time and attendance tracking, troubleshooting problem files, creating and maintaining SOPs, and training staff. Requirements

  • Paralegal certificate or 4-year college degree (experience may be substituted for education).
  • 1-year supervision experience.
  • Familiarity with using database for file maintenance.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Responsible individual who is able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook, PDF and WordPerfect.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with basic office hardware such as scanners, fax machine, copiers, etc.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and dependability.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time; bend, lift, or carry up to 20 pounds; answer and make telephone calls; utilize keyboard and mouse.

  • An individual versed in the Legal Collections Process preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate supportive services of the organization.
  • Assist the Legal Administration Manager in supervising staff.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Administrative Department.
  • Involvement in staffing decisions.
  • Interact frequently with attorneys.
  • Interacts regularly and comprehensively with other departments.
  • Time and attendance tracking.
  • Troubleshooting of problem files.
  • Create, maintain, and review SOPs to comply with internal and external standards.
  • Training new and existing staff.
  • All other duties as assigned.
