About The Position

This position is contingent upon contract award and supports a new Defense Health Agency program. The start date follows contract award and Government access. The engineer will operate application servers and databases supporting a health data exchange platform’s legacy SOAP services, keep systems patched and compliant, and verify they can be restored while services are migrated to a new platform. The role supports production operations, including responding to production issues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years administering application servers and relational databases in production.
• Experience operating SOAP and WS-Security services.
• Experience applying STIGs and remediating IAVMs on DoD or federal systems.
• Experience personally running restore tests.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the Tier 3 investigation and IT-II designation required for this privileged role.

Nice To Haves

• Active Secret clearance or Secret eligibility.
• Oracle or PostgreSQL administration experience.
• AWS GovCloud experience.
• Healthcare or Defense Health Agency environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer application servers and databases on Government-approved engines.
• Operate SOAP and WS-Security services, including certificate and keystore management.
• Apply STIGs and remediate IAVMs on legacy hosts, keeping compliance evidence current.
• Conduct scheduled backup and restore tests and repeat testing after every change.
• Support migration of each legacy service to the new platform.
