Our existing tax function is strong, and we're looking for a talented professional to work alongside our current Tax Team to manage increasing complexity, support strategic tax planning, and help position True Companies for continued long-term success.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting and two (2) or more years of experience in an accounting environment; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Complete understanding of accounting principles.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to facilitate month/year end close process.
  • Ability to read professional documents (invoices, various financial statements, emails).
  • Ability to correspond in an informative and professional manner.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify accuracy in one’s own work and in the work of others.
  • Ability to calculate financial amounts and indicators.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook software applications.
  • Understanding of basic database programs.
  • Ability to use 10-key by touch.
  • Proficient data entry.
  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Oracle accounting software.
  • Experience with accounting software, ERPs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing accounting duties, facilitating the monthly closing process, and preparing financial statements for the books and records of owners, select family members, family-owned businesses, foundations, and trusts.
  • Enter data into accounting systems.
  • Input journal entries.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, financial preparation and reporting.
  • Deliver front-facing customer service to stakeholders.
  • Prepare/review routine reports i.e. basis schedules & monthly reports.
  • Perform transactional accounting entries.
  • Validate data against system reports.
  • Verify that controls and processes have been followed.
  • Ensure all entries are adequately supported, as per procedures.
  • Work with other shared services and other stakeholders to problem solve.
  • Facilitate the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.
