About The Position

Professional and Distance Education Programs (PDEP) is accepting applications for a part-time Lecturer appointment to teach online graduate course(s) in Corrosion: Fundamentals and Experimental Methods. The selected candidate will teach online and may support the development and teaching of graduate students, depending on their degree certification.

The role includes developing online courses in partnership with Ohio State Online, designing curricula and syllabi, developing course content and materials, and teaching. The Lecturer will present course material, guide students through assignments, create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment, support student success, and collaborate with fellow instructors.

The position is temporary (fixed term), scheduled for 15 hours, and has a first-shift schedule. Ohio State will not sponsor work visas for this position.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in Systems Engineering or a related area.
• Three to five years of teaching and/or industry-related experience in Systems Engineering or relevant areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to or demonstrated efforts in teaching that reflect Ohio State's Shared Values.

Responsibilities
