Lecturer - Department of Finance, Business School
About The Position
The University of Miami Business School is seeking a full-time Lecturer in the Department of Finance, starting in Spring 2027. The lecturer will provide leadership for the School’s activities in Finance and teach technical courses, with particular interest in candidates able to teach Fundamentals of Finance, Intermediate Financial Management, and Investments, Institutions and Security Markets at a high level of proficiency. Instructors must develop a new syllabus for each new course they teach. The Department of Finance is research-active, with faculty publishing in leading academic journals and participating in journal editorial work. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, information about teaching experience and evaluations, and three references. Application review begins immediately and continues until the position is filled.
Requirements
- Terminal degree in Finance from an accredited school or university.
- Demonstrated experience and excellence in teaching.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for the Business School’s various activities in Finance.
- Teach technical Finance courses, including courses such as Fundamentals of Finance, Intermediate Financial Management, and Investments, Institutions and Security Markets.
- Develop a new syllabus for each new course taught.
