About The Position

The Knowlton School, Landscape Architecture Section in the College of Engineering is seeking applications for a part-time Lecturer appointment. This role involves teaching one undergraduate, interdisciplinary, foundational design course in the Knowlton School during the 2026 Summer Semester. Responsibilities include curriculum and syllabus design, content and materials development, teaching, and course management. The selected candidate will support the development and teaching of undergraduate students, with all courses taught in person on the University’s main campus in Columbus, Ohio. The Ohio State University will not sponsor work visas for this position.

Requirements

  • MLA degree or equivalent terminal degree in the design disciplines or a related area
  • One to five years of teaching and/or industry related experience in the fields of landscape architecture or relevant areas (this can include graduate teaching assistantships)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to or demonstrated efforts in teaching that reflect Ohio State’s Shared Values
