About The Position

The Department of Applied Physiology & Kinesiology (APK) at the University of Florida (UF) is searching for a full-time, non-tenure track Lecturer to join our team. The anticipated start date is November 1, 2026. This is a 9-month, 1.0 FTE, non-tenure track faculty position with potential summer employment opportunities. Responsibilities related to this position may include, but are not limited to, designing and teaching courses in Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, Research Methods, Exercise Psychology, Sports Psychology, Sport Supplements, Physiology, and other areas. Primary duties for this position are instructional, but involvement in service at the department, college, and university levels is also expected.

Requirements

  • Academic doctorate degree (PhD, EdD, or DSc) in kinesiology, exercise physiology, or a closely related discipline.
  • Master’s degree in kinesiology, exercise physiology, or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of college- or university-level teaching experience.
  • Good communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • Passion about student learning.
  • Commitment to teaching excellence and teamwork.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
  • Experience developing new courses.
  • Experience integrating experiential learning into the curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and teaching courses in Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, Research Methods, Exercise Psychology, Sports Psychology, Sport Supplements, Physiology, and other areas.
  • Involvement in service at the department, college, and university levels.
