Boston University School of Law is seeking candidates to join the Lawyering Program for the 2027 – 2028 academic year. The Lawyering Program provides intensive instruction in legal research, writing, and analysis; introduces students to other critical lawyering skills like client interviewing and oral advocacy; and engages students in an in-depth transactional simulation. Each Lecturer teaches two sections of approximately fifteen to twenty students, providing classroom instruction and individualized feedback on writing assignments, including conferencing with students on major assignments. Each section of the course is also supported by a research librarian and three 2L or 3L Lawyering Fellows. Additional responsibilities include attending program and faculty meetings, judging 1L moot court arguments, and performing faculty service to BU Law as assigned. The Lawyering Program’s collaborative environment will allow the Lecturer to draw upon the Program’s carefully designed assignments and exercises, while maintaining substantial curricular latitude, including in selecting most assignments.
