The School of Philosophical, Historical and Indigenous Studies is seeking either a Level B Lecturer or Level C Senior Lecturer to join the Archaeology and Ancient History team. The role involves contributing to teaching across undergraduate and Honours programs in Archaeology and Ancient History, supervising graduate research students, and working collaboratively within team-teaching and interdisciplinary initiatives. The successful candidate will also support curriculum development, student engagement, and the department’s public outreach activities. The position will play an important role in maintaining and further developing the School’s strengths in interregional approaches to Egypt and its connections with the wider Mediterranean, including across archaeology, ancient history, and cultural heritage studies. At Level C, the role also carries a broader expectation of significant contributions to teaching leadership, scholarship, and/or research, with an emphasis on academic development, curriculum enhancement, and active participation in the intellectual life and strategic priorities of the department.
