POSITION SUMMARY: The Department of Kinesiology at Saginaw Valley State University invites applications for a full-time Health and Physical Education lecturer position. This renewable, non-tenure-track position supports the department's commitment to preparing knowledgeable and skillful educators for K–12 settings. The successful candidate will primarily teach undergraduate courses (100 and 200 level) to prepare future Health and Physical Education teachers and may contribute to courses across the K–12 Health and Physical Education, Exercise Science, and Rehabilitative Medicine programs. This position focuses on teaching excellence, student engagement, and service, consistent with the SVSU Faculty Association Contract. Teaching responsibilities will include foundational, methods-based, and practicum experiences at the freshman (1XX) and sophomore (2XX) levels aligned with current standards and licensure expectations. The lecturer will also support departmental initiatives, participate in curriculum development and program assessment, and engage in meaningful service to the department, university, and community.
