About The Position

This is an applicant pool for Lecturer positions in the Nursing program for the Academic Year 2026-2027. These positions are part-time, temporary, non-tenure, and contingent upon course offerings, student enrollment, position clearance, and funding availability. Lecturers must be available to teach courses during the day, evening, weekend, and/or via distance learning as needed.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Must meet the requirements to apply for Hawaii RN licensure.
  • Must meet health requirements to work in a hospital clinical setting (vaccinations, titers, etc).
  • Acute care experience.
  • To be eligible to teach in the DNP program, one must hold a minimum of a doctoral degree in a nursing related field (if there are no applicants meeting this MQ, those not meeting the MQ may be considered on an exception basis).

Nice To Haves

  • Acute care experience in medical/surgical or Emergency Room departments.
  • Extensive experience with acute care adult health clinical instruction in BSN nursing and/or DNP program(s).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct lectures and training in the Bachelor of Science in the Nursing (BSN) program and/or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, to include clinical practicums.
