About The Position

This is an applicant pool for Lecturer positions in the Kinesiology and Exercise Science program for the Academic Year 2026-2027. Positions are part-time, temporary, non-tenure, and contingent upon course offerings, sufficient student enrollment, position clearance, and availability of funding. Lecturers will be responsible for conducting lectures and laboratory courses, which may include practical and physical activities. A minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught is required. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or any closely related field from an accredited College or University.
  • Potential or demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses in areas such as various physical activity courses, injury prevention, exercise physiology, motor control, strength and conditioning, etc.
  • Must be available to teach courses during the day, evening, weekend, and/or via distance learning, as needed.
  • A complete application must include: Cover letter indicating discipline(s) or course(s) for which you are seeking a Lecturer appointment, and how you meet the minimum and desirable qualifications.
  • A current curriculum vitae/resume.
  • Names and contact information (telephone number and email addresses) of at least three professional references.
  • Transcript(s) showing degrees and course work appropriate to the position (copies are acceptable; however, original official transcripts will be required prior to employment).
  • Please do not include any self-identifying photos.
  • Please redact references to Social Security number and birth date on transcript copies.
  • Copy of diplomas will NOT be accepted.
  • Documents issued from an institution outside the United States of America require a course-by-course analysis with an equivalency statement from an agency having membership with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc., verifying the degree equivalency to that of an accredited institution within the USA.
  • All minimum qualifications must be met by the closing date.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field.
  • Experience teaching Kinesiology or Exercise Science courses at the undergraduate level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in the physical activity course that is going to be taught (if applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct lectures and laboratory courses in the kinesiology and exercise science program, that includes practical and physical activities.
  • Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
