About The Position

The Black School of Business at Penn State Behrend is seeking a non-tenure-track, one-year fixed-term faculty member in Marketing, starting August 2026. The position is for a Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor, depending on qualifications, with a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching. The role involves teaching undergraduate and MBA-level marketing courses, including the undergraduate capstone in Marketing Strategy, Retailing, and MBA-level Marketing Strategy. Instruction will be delivered in both residential and hybrid formats (a mix of in-person and online within a single course). The selected candidate will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and to fostering an inclusive academic community. Onsite teaching is an essential function of this position.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in marketing or a closely related field by the appointment start date.
  • Ability to teach undergraduate and MBA-level courses in marketing.
  • Ability to teach the undergraduate capstone in Marketing Strategy.
  • Ability to teach Retailing courses.
  • Ability to teach MBA-level Marketing Strategy courses.
  • Ability to deliver instruction in residential and hybrid formats.
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching.
