About The Position

The CU Denver Business School’s Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship is establishing a pool of lecturers for temporary, non-tenure-track appointments in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Appointments are part-time, below 50% FTE, and made semester by semester as teaching needs arise. This posting does not necessarily represent a currently open position. The pool is expected to remain active through January 2027, after which applications will be cleared. Lecturers teach entrepreneurship classes at the undergraduate or graduate level, generally limited to three credit hours. Instruction may be in person, online-remote, or hybrid, and may use one or multiple modalities. Lecturers tailor instruction for students from varied language and cultural backgrounds while meeting prescribed curricular objectives and outcomes. They prepare balanced, rigorous lesson plans, assess student progress, and follow program policies, including reporting student offenses such as plagiarism, cheating, and absences. The position follows a hybrid work structure, with remote or office work based on task demands or personal work preferences; office work is encouraged when collaboration is needed. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required. The role requires the ability to work effectively in an onsite, hybrid, or remote environment, including extended computer-based work and virtual meetings. A remote setup requires a dedicated workspace and reliable internet access. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, benefits, or overtime compensation. Compensation starts at $6,000 per three-credit course and may increase based on enrollment at the census date.
