About The Position

The Department of Political Science at The Ohio State University is seeking a Lecturer to teach two sections of POLITSC 1166 for the 2026-2027 academic year. Responsibilities include preparing syllabi and course materials, holding office hours, grading assignments, submitting grades by deadlines, and communicating regularly with students. Responsibilities

  • Teach POLITSC 1166 (2 sections) for the 2026-2027 academic year.
  • Prepare syllabi and course materials for assigned courses.
  • Hold office hours.

  • Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
  • Meet scheduled classes and office hours in accordance with university policy.
  • Ensure curriculum implementation and course preparation in accordance with department standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of students’ progress.
  • Submit the final grade roster in accordance with established university deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with FERPA.
