About The Position

The Department of Computer Science at California State University San Marcos (Temecula Campus) seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach CS 331: Computer Architecture at CSUSM's Temecula Campus. This course is a study of the functional organization and sequential operation of digital computers. The major components of a computer will be discussed, along with an introduction to machine instruction architecture and design. The study of internal operations during program execution will also be covered, and several computer architectures will be studied.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Must be able to work in the State of California.
  • Must comply with the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act.
  • Must complete employment verification, education verification, reference checks, and criminal record checks.
  • Must sign a release form authorizing the release of information by current and/or former employers concerning any substantiated allegations of misconduct if reaching the final stages of the application process.
  • Must disclose whether they have received a final administrative decision or final judicial decision determining that they have committed sexual harassment within the last 7 years (after meeting minimum qualifications and before an offer of employment).

Responsibilities

  • Teach CS 331: Computer Architecture at CSUSM's Temecula Campus during Fall 2026.
  • Conduct classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
  • Engage students in the study of digital computer organization, machine instruction architecture, and various computer architectures.
