About The Position

The Department of Computer Science at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach CS 200-11: Game Design Management I. This course introduces the mathematical and programming fundamentals used in 3D game programming, as well as the fundamentals of game development and management, focusing on the specialized game design lifecycle and related process models. It covers essential topics like object-oriented methodologies and the ethical and professional responsibilities inherent in the gaming industry. Students will create a complete design of an original game and implement the design of their original game simulating a team-based environment.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree or 4 years of relevant professional experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.
