The Department of Counselor Education and School Psychology in UCF’s College of Community Innovation and Education is hiring two 9-month, non-tenure-earning lecturers in its Counselor Education Program. The positions are anticipated to begin in Fall 2027 and are located on the Orlando campus. Summer teaching may be available. Lecturers will teach a variety of graduate-level courses, advise students, and supervise practicum and internship students. The program offers master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy, and School Counseling; an Educational Specialist degree in School Counseling; and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Several programs are CACREP-accredited. The selected candidate must have a terminal degree in Counselor Education or a closely related field from an accredited institution by the time of hire, and demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching, service, and leadership. A doctoral degree from a CACREP-accredited program and experience in graduate teaching and clinical supervision are preferred. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; H-1B sponsorship, transfers, and employment-based visa processing for individuals sponsored by another employer are unavailable. UCF expects employees to reside in Florida when employment begins unless the posting explicitly states otherwise. The appointment is regular, with a variable work schedule and negotiable salary. Applicants must submit an online application, curriculum vitae, and letter of interest describing relevant qualifications, such as research agenda and teaching experience or interests. Official transcripts and, where applicable, U.S. degree-equivalency evaluations will be required from the selected candidate.
