This is a part-time, temporary position for the Spring 2027 semester, serving as a lecturer candidate pool. Assignments will be made as needed, contingent upon funding availability, satisfactory performance, and actual staffing requirements. The role is non-tenurial and requires commitment to community college principles and philosophy. The lecturer will teach assigned courses, maintain office hours, provide instruction to meet student learning objectives, prepare course syllabi and reports, and work under the supervision of the discipline coordinator/division chairperson. Student and peer evaluations, along with self-assessment of teaching effectiveness, are mandatory. The position requires availability for evening and weekend assignments, and may involve teaching on campus, off campus at military bases, at secondary education sites (high schools), and/or through distance learning (internet). Please note this is not a remote position. Specific teaching fields may only have openings for classes on military bases or taught online. A Department of Defense security clearance will be required for teaching on a military base, and background checks will be required for teaching Early College courses for DOE schools.
