About The Position

This is a part-time, temporary lecturer position for the Spring 2027 semester, part of a lecturer candidate pool. Assignments are made as needed and are contingent upon the availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and actual staffing requirements. The role is non-tenurial. The position requires a commitment to community college principles and philosophy and involves teaching assigned courses, maintaining office hours, providing instruction to meet student learning objectives, preparing course syllabi and reports, and integrating teaching efforts with other instructors under the supervision of the discipline coordinator/division chairperson. Student and peer evaluations, along with self-assessment of teaching effectiveness, are required. The position may involve evening and weekend teaching, on-campus instruction, off-campus teaching at military bases, teaching at secondary education sites (high schools), and/or distance learning assignments via the internet. This is not a remote position. Some teaching fields may only have openings for classes offered on military bases or taught via the Internet. Teaching on a military base requires a Department of Defense security clearance, and teaching Early College courses for DOE schools requires background checks.
