About The Position

The College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University, through the Center for Life Sciences Education (CLSE), is seeking a Lecturer in Biology. This full-time position involves teaching lecture and/or lab-based courses, including but not limited to Biology 1101, 1110, 1113, 1114, and 3501. The CLSE is a large department with over 2,400 majors, and the new lecturer will join an interdisciplinary community on the main campus in Columbus, Ohio. This position is set to begin in Autumn 2026 and is open to individuals with a background in Biological and/or related Life Science areas. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Biology or a related life science discipline
  • Strong commitment to teaching at all levels

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in Biology or a related life science discipline
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills

Responsibilities

  • Teach one or more lecture and/or lab based, or related recitation, courses
  • Lead course discussions
  • Assist with overseeing teaching lab experiments
  • Hold office hours
  • Complete related grading and other course related tasks as assigned
