About The Position

The Division of Anatomy in the Department of Surgery at the University of Alberta invites applications for a part-time ATS Lecturer/Anatomy Demonstrator. This role will complement and extend existing strengths in teaching Anatomy curriculum to support the Northern Alberta Medical Program expansion in Grande Prairie, AB. The Division of Anatomy is primarily a teaching division responsible for teaching human anatomy to undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students within various faculties, including Medicine and Dentistry, Rehabilitation Medicine, Physical Education and Recreation, Nursing, and undergraduate students in Pharmacy, Dental Hygiene, and Science. The division is dedicated to innovation and excellence in anatomy teaching and the advancement of knowledge through research and the development of new educational methods and technology.

Requirements

  • Part-time ATS Lecturer/Anatomy Demonstrator position.
  • Complement and extend existing strengths in the teaching of Anatomy curriculum.
  • Support the Northern Alberta Medical Program expansion in Grande Prairie, AB.
  • Teach human anatomy to undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students within the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry, Rehabilitation Medicine, Physical Education and Recreation, Nursing, and to undergraduate students in Pharmacy, Dental Hygiene and Science.
  • Be dedicated to innovation and excellence in the teaching of anatomy.
  • Advance knowledge through basic and applied research in clinical anatomy.
  • Develop new educational methods and educational technology.
  • Foster a workplace that prioritizes safety in all its forms—physical, cultural, and psychological.
  • Promote a safe environment, adhere to all safety laws, policies and procedures, complete all required safety training, identify hazards and implement controls, report incidents, and contribute to a culture of belonging and respect.
