About The Position

LEARN Behavioral is a national organization dedicated to nurturing children with autism and special needs. We specialize in evidence-based applied behavior analysis to deliver personalized treatment plans. The Leave Specialist is a member of the Human Resources department and reports directly to the Leave Administrator II. This role supports business units across multiple states and is responsible for administering a high-volume caseload of leave cases from start to finish, ensuring compliance with complex and varying state and federal requirements while delivering a positive employee experience. The Leave Specialist will coordinate leave of absence requests for all staff, including FMLA, ADA, parental, medical, military, and individual state disability and paid leave programs. This role will also assist with ADA accommodation requests and facilitate the interactive process for reasonable accommodations. This is a full-time remote opportunity, and candidates can reside in any time zone. The pay starts at $32.00/hr.

Requirements

2+ years of HR or leave administration related experience
Federal, state, and local employment laws knowledge
Customer Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client/student/customer services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of client/customer satisfaction.
Comprehension of Written Materials: Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.

Responsibilities

Facilitate leave of absence programs and ADA accommodation requests
Manage the day-to-day administration of employee leaves, including FMLA, ADA, parental, medical, military, and personal leaves.
Ensure timely, compliant and accurate handling of all leave requests in accordance with all legal requirements and company policies.
Work with leave of absence vendor to identify issues and errors within leave process and/or on specific leave claims.
Track leave timelines and documentation, including certifications, recertifications, and return-to-work coordination; update employee leave status in UKG.
Partner with HR field team, WorkComp, Benefits, and other stakeholders on leave and accommodation cases.
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and provide exceptional service throughout the leave journey.
Respond to accommodation inquiries; coordinate requests for reasonable modifications; educate and interact with all staff on ADA requirements and compliance.
