About The Position

This is a temporary, long-term teaching opportunity for a Leave Replacement High School Teacher of Physical Education at Cumberland Regional High School. The position is effective on or about October 13, 2026, until approximately January 12, 2027, and is subject to change. The role is a temporary, non-tenure-track position, serving strictly in a temporary capacity as a replacement for an absent board employee. Service in this role will not count toward the acquisition of tenure or seniority within the district.

Requirements

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate in Subject Area Endorsement or Certificate of Eligibility.
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods.
• The desire to teach high school students and the ability to adapt to their developmental status.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
