About The Position

The Leasing Specialist supports the Community Manager and Assistant Community Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of neighborly communities’ properties. This position involves ensuring the efficient management of leasing operations, providing excellent customer service to residents and vendors, and maintaining the property’s residents’ files. Reporting directly to the Community Manager, this position will help resolve property issues, support leasing strategies, and maintain compliance with legal regulations and company standards.

  • General understanding of Low-Income Fair Housing Guidelines (if applying to an affordable property)
  • Committed to acting with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, property management software, and Tenant Tech.
  • Ability to interact with others while emphasizing the principles of an outward mindset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Manager with the administration, improvement, maintenance and general operations of Neighborly Communities’ Properties.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all fair housing regulations.
  • Adhere to all fair housing regulations.
  • Help resolve operational and residential issues that may arise from residents, vendors, etc.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents by striving to exceed their expectations.
  • Maintain regular and reliable on-site/in-office attendance in accordance with the attendance policy outlined in the personnel manual.
  • Adhere to the community’s operations policies and procedures for the following tasks, including but not limited to; monthly lease expirations and renewals process, market surveys, weekly census reports, applicant screenings, applications process, auditing of resident files, move in/out processes.
  • Be an active participant if applicable in Safety Meetings in conjunction with the Service Manager.
  • Help create and coordinate resident retention events.
  • Be a resource and tool for all team members, in office and maintenance.
  • Maintain expert level in all property platforms, including but not limited to: ResMan, Tenant Tech, Lenoardo, SharePoint.
  • Show consistent self-accountability by scheduling, preparing, and conducting a monthly 3A+ SAM with your supervisor, and reporting those meeting outcomes to Human Resources.
  • Capability to adopt the principles of the Outward Mindset.
  • Complete all necessary and assigned trainings through GraceHill and any other assigned classes, or seminars, such as Outward Mindset Gatherings, Outward Performance and other Outward Mindset trainings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
