About The Position

The Leasing Specialist is the first point of contact for prospects and residents, playing a crucial role in creating positive experiences and fostering a sense of home. This career-oriented position requires a candidate with strong goal orientation, personal accountability, and a drive for success, fueled by a curiosity to learn, lead, and grow. The role involves creating relationships with potential residents, showcasing community benefits, and closing lease agreements. The Leasing Specialist is expected to be an expert on the product, property, and local neighborhood, generating leads through effective follow-up and implementing promotional programs. This is an on-site role reporting from one of The Collier Companies’ community offices in Tallahassee.

Requirements

Strong sales with a desire to exceed company leasing requirements
Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal
A customer-focused mentality
Proficiency with various software, apps and computer programs
Career mindset with a polished, professional appearance
Ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly in a fast-pace leasing office
1-2 years leasing &/or customer service experience in a retail, hospitality, housing or multi-family environment
Weekends required, as needed

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional and consistent customer service to our residents & prospects
Lease apartment homes by creating relationships and showcasing the benefits of living at a The Collier Companies community
Always be closing – over the phone, through email and in person.
Generate leads by conducting effective follow up on the phone & through email
Create & implement promotional programs, including creative online advertising, direct marketing, social media outreach and resident events
Contribute to the desired occupancy levels by renewing current resident leases
Maintain accurate resident files
