About The Position

We’re looking for a Leasing Agent in Olympia who knows how to make people feel at home the moment they walk through the door. Leasing & Marketing Support: Conduct in-person and virtual tours across assigned communities Respond to leasing inquiries and follow up to convert leads Support marketing efforts, including online listings and show-ready units Proactively support occupancy goals Application Processing & Documentation: Process rental applications, screening, approvals, and denials in compliance with Fair Housing and Washington State landlord-tenant laws Prepare leases, addenda, renewals, and move-in documentation timely and accurately Maintain organized and complete resident and applicant files Hands-On Community Presence: Maintain a visible, on-site presence across all six communities Conduct regular property walks to ensure units are clean, show-ready, and presentable Coordinate with maintenance on unit turns and leasing priorities Assist with move-ins, key distribution, and resident orientation Resident Interaction & Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective residents Assist current residents with leasing-related questions and renewal options Communicate professionally and respectfully with a diverse resident base Help reinforce community rules and lease requirements as directed Reporting & Team Coordination: Track leasing activity, traffic, and follow-up Provide regular updates to the Olympia Area Manager Work closely with the Assistant Property Manager and maintenance staff to support overall property performance Provide coverage as needed across communities

Requirements

  • 1–2+ years of residential leasing or customer-facing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws required; Washington State landlord-tenant knowledge preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, or similar) preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required for daily local travel between communities
  • Energetic, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable interacting with a wide range of residents and prospects
  • Persistent with follow-up and goal-driven
  • Professional, calm, and respectful in challenging situations
  • Team-oriented and willing to step in where needed

Nice To Haves

  • Washington State landlord-tenant knowledge preferred
  • Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, or similar) preferred
