About The Position

LSA Management is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Leasing Specialist with Affordable Housing experience to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships with residents, and possesses strong administrative and compliance skills. The successful candidate will bring a proactive approach to leasing operations, resident relations, file management, and compliance support. Experience with LIHTC leasing, resident recertifications, and affordable housing regulations is highly preferred. Requirements

  • 1+ years of Multifamily Leasing experience
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of service

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Affordable Housing and LIHTC communities
  • Experience completing or assisting with annual and interim recertifications
  • Knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, and Fair Housing guidelines
  • Experience maintaining compliant resident files and preparing documentation for audits
  • Experience using Yardi, RealPage, or similar Property Management software
  • Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Manage prospect inquiries and follow-up activities to convert leads into leases
  • Conduct property tours and effectively communicate community amenities and benefits
  • Process applications, verify documentation, collect deposits, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations
  • Coordinate seamless move-in experiences for new residents
  • Maintain strong occupancy levels through proactive leasing activities
  • Assist with or complete LIHTC resident recertifications and related documentation
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready resident files
  • Ensure resident records comply with affordable housing program requirements
  • Support compliance initiatives by tracking deadlines, documentation, and reporting requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve office organization and operational efficiency
  • Build positive relationships with residents and serve as a trusted community resource
  • Follow up on maintenance requests to ensure resident satisfaction
  • Assist with resident events, engagement initiatives, and retention programs
  • Address resident concerns professionally and proactively while delivering exceptional customer service
  • Take ownership of office organization and administrative processes
  • Anticipate operational needs and recommend improvements
  • Help create a welcoming, professional, and well-maintained leasing office environment
  • Partner with the Property Manager to achieve occupancy, compliance, and resident satisfaction goals
