About The Position

At Middleton Meyers, the Leasing Professional is responsible for assisting with all aspects of leasing and resident relations for the apartment community. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, achieving occupancy goals, conducting property tours, processing applications, and supporting resident retention efforts. The Leasing Professional serves as a brand ambassador for the community and helps create a positive living experience for current and prospective residents.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to community team.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances.
  • Neat, clean, professional at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community.
  • Demonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem.
  • Learn and ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules.
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Must be able to work Saturday's and Sunday's
  • Must speak fluent English and Spanish to aid the portfolio demographic
  • Must have multi family leasing and/or sales experience to be qualified
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule; including Saturdays
  • Successfully pass a drug and background screen
  • Valid Driver's License is required

  • National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist prospective residents in person, by phone, and electronically.
  • Conduct community tours and effectively present apartment homes, amenities, and community features.
  • Maintain knowledge of pricing, availability, lease terms, and market conditions.
  • Follow up with prospects through calls, emails, and other communication methods to convert leads into leases.
  • Process rental applications and assist with lease preparation and execution.
  • Achieve leasing and occupancy goals established by management.
  • Maintain accurate traffic, leasing, and prospect records within property management software.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to current and prospective residents.
  • Respond to resident questions, concerns, and service requests professionally and promptly.
  • Assist with resident retention initiatives and renewal outreach.
  • Support resident events and community engagement activities.
  • Maintain organized leasing files and documentation.
  • Collect and process application fees, deposits, and other required paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
  • Assist with social media marketing and online reputation management efforts.
  • Work closely with the maintenance and management teams to ensure apartment readiness and resident satisfaction.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and community outreach efforts.
  • Support additional operational tasks as assigned by management.
