Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two years of property management industry experience.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience in conducting Internet searches and using online calendars and databases.
  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Adaptable and responsive to market changes.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional service to residents and stakeholders.

  • CAM, ARM, or CCRM certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day leasing operations of the property: Maintain complete and accurate property files and records.
  • Respond timely to prospective resident telephone calls and internet leads.
  • Review all rental and move-in files for accuracy and input new residents into Yardi.
  • Enter daily leasing activity into the leasing system daily.
  • Promptly attend to resident comments and/or complaints.
  • Ensure that the proper move-in paperwork, keys, and remotes are prepared for a new resident.
  • Inspect make-ready apartments prior to move-in.
  • Review all lease files prior to move-in for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the property manager’s efforts to manage marketing and leasing for the property: Understand the market and any other aspects of the sub-market that could impact occupancy and/or income.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing surveys and any other tools.
  • Supervise the leasing tours and closing techniques to achieve the best possible closing ratios.
  • Responsible for leasing apartments, improving occupancy, and generating traffic.
  • Manage leasing personnel: Create, mentor, and manage a cohesive property management team in accordance with policies.
  • Coordinate orientation and ongoing training programs for leasing staff.
  • Perform other duties as requested to support property operations.
