About The Position

Habitat America, a growing property management company, is seeking an experienced and professional Leasing Consultant to join our team at Brent Place in Alexandria, VA. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred! We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic individual with a positive, "can-do" attitude who is passionate about providing exceptional customer service and helping residents feel at home. The Leasing Consultant is responsible for the day-to-day leasing and administrative operations of the community. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong occupancy levels while delivering an outstanding experience to prospective and current residents.

Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of property management experience in a leasing consultant or similar role (required)
Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to close leases
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional demeanor and energetic personality
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Proficiency with standard office software and property management systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
Experience with Tax Credit (LIHTC) housing strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Greet and assist prospective and current residents in a professional and friendly manner
Conduct property tours and effectively present community features and benefits
Respond to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in person
Process rental applications in compliance with Tax Credit (LIHTC) guidelines
Maintain accurate leasing files and documentation
Assist with income certifications and recertifications (Tax Credit experience preferred)
Manage office responsibilities including answering phones, filing, data entry, and general administrative support
Coordinate with property management staff to ensure resident satisfaction
Support marketing and outreach efforts to maintain strong occupancy
Deliver excellent customer service consistent with Habitat America's standards
