About The Position

The Leasing Consultant is the face of the property and an initial point of contact for guests, prospective residents, current residents, and vendors. The role focuses on helping prospective residents find homes they will love, meeting sales goals, and contributing to successful resident events and community functions. The position also provides customer service, supports leasing and move-ins, handles administrative work, and promotes the property to local businesses and apartment locators. The role is full-time, with rotating weekday hours Monday through Friday, generally 9 AM to 6 PM. Saturdays and Sundays are required, and monthly after-hours availability is needed for resident events. Hours, weekend schedules, and event times may vary. The stated initial pay range is $18 to $18.50 per hour, with eligibility for monthly leasing commissions and resident renewal bonuses.

Requirements

Minimum one year of experience as an apartment Leasing Consultant.
Availability for full-time rotating weekday hours, generally Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM; hours may vary.
Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays; some weekend hours may vary.
Monthly after-hours availability for resident events; frequency, dates, and times may vary.

Responsibilities

Show and lease apartment homes to prospective residents.
Explain apartment unit options and variations.
Provide exemplary customer service to current and prospective residents.
Greet visitors warmly, courteously, professionally, and welcomingly.
Maintain thorough knowledge of the property and its product.
Close sales of apartment homes to prospective residents.
Prepare lease paperwork, obtain move-in keys, and complete other duties before new residents arrive.
Enter information into the internal resident database.
Use sales and marketing strategies to help increase property traffic.
Perform administrative duties.
Respond to resident requests and help minimize and resolve resident concerns.
Plan, facilitate, and participate in resident functions and activities.
Visit apartment locators and local businesses to promote the property.
