About The Position

As a Part-Time Leasing Consultant I, you’ll be one of the first people prospective and current residents connect with at our community. You’ll help applicants navigate the leasing process, support residents throughout their experience, and keep the details behind a successful property running smoothly. This is an opportunity to build valuable experience in property management while working in a supportive environment with established processes, training, and guidance from experienced property management professionals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Ability to obtain Fair Housing Certification within the required timeframe.
  • Enjoy helping people and providing excellent customer service.
  • Communicate professionally and build positive relationships.
  • Are organized, dependable, and attentive to details.
  • Can manage multiple priorities while following established processes.
  • Are comfortable asking questions and escalating complex situations when needed.
  • Are willing to learn Fair Housing and affordable housing requirements.
  • Are comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other digital tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Property management, leasing, housing, hospitality, or administrative experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Interested in learning property management systems such as Yardi or RentCafe.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming prospective and current residents in person, by phone, and electronically.
  • Conducting property tours and explaining available homes, lease terms, eligibility requirements, and community policies.
  • Responding to leasing inquiries and following up with prospective residents.
  • Accepting and processing rental applications and supporting waiting-list activity.
  • Collecting and verifying applicant documentation, income, and eligibility information.
  • Preparing leases, move-in paperwork, certifications, and other resident documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate, organized, and audit-ready resident files.
  • Supporting lease renewals and resident retention efforts.
  • Assisting with move-in and move-out inspections and documentation.
  • Coordinating with maintenance and property staff to help ensure homes are ready for new residents.
  • Providing professional, responsive service when residents have questions or concerns.
  • Supporting community marketing and outreach activities that help maintain strong occupancy.
