Requirements

High School Diploma/GED.
Valid Driver’s License (if operating a vehicle).

Nice To Haves

Some advanced real estate training, including familiarity with the Landlord-Tenant and Fair Housing laws, and prior experience in a leasing position.

Responsibilities

Abides by Fair Housing Laws.
Provides tours of apartments to prospective residents.
Runs credit reports on prospective residents.
Prepares lease packets.
Inspects apartments prior to showing them.
Maintains logs of traffic through the property.
Leases units.
Provides information over the telephone to prospective residents.
Maintains a visible public relations’ attitude toward current and prospective residents.
Typing and filing property–related reports.
May be asked to assist with rent collection, bank deposits, or other general errands.
May be asked to assist with resident retention activities.
