About The Position

Rookwood Properties is seeking an enthusiastic, professional, results-driven Leasing Consultant with a passion for exceptional customer service. The role guides prospective tenants from their first inquiry through move-in and helps create a positive experience for current and future residents. The position is based at the Pine Ridge/Montclair Apartment Communities in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is scheduled for Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Compensation is $15–$18 per hour plus commissions.

Requirements

Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency with basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Satisfactory background and motor vehicle record (MVR) checks are required as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

Retail, leasing, property management, or sales-focused customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide service to prospective and current residents by phone, email, and in person; answer inquiries, resolve concerns, and build positive relationships that support satisfaction and retention.
Follow Fair Housing laws and company policies when qualifying, screening, and accepting applicants.
Tour prospective tenants, highlighting apartment features and community amenities.
Market vacancies through advertising, social media, and online listings to meet occupancy goals.
Process applications, credit and background checks, and reference verification in compliance with Fair Housing laws.
Prepare lease agreements and paperwork accurately and promptly, and maintain organized records.
Collect rent, application fees, and security deposits.
Coordinate move-in and move-out inspections.
Submit and track maintenance requests through resolution.
Inspect common areas and vacant units to keep them clean, maintained, and market-ready.
