The Leasing Consultant is responsible for the leasing of all apartments. This includes handling prospective resident phone calls, performing miscellaneous clerical duties, and supporting office personnel. The role requires maintaining a strong customer service philosophy while leasing apartments at the highest effective rent level possible. Responsibilities also include responding to resident requests, explaining company and community policies, managing resident files, and entering computer data. The position supports resident retention programs, ensures apartments are market-ready, and assists with leasing activities and resident relations. The consultant must be aware of competitive communities' rent levels and amenities, as well as community and area facts. They will also assist in preparing competitive market surveys, greeting new residents, verifying application data, qualifying potential residents, showing models and available vacancies, and participating in community events. Certification as a Leasing Specialist through in-house training is required. Travel and occasional use of a personal vehicle may be necessary. Occasional weekend hours may also be required.
