About The Position

A Leasing Consultant’s objectives are to lease apartments at the highest effective rent possible and deliver quality customer service. Leasing Consultants respond promptly and courteously to all customers; helping to resolve challenges quickly, efficiently and professionally. All federal, state, and local regulations are expected to be followed accordingly.

Requirements

  • Must complete upon hire: Fair Housing, Preventing Harassment, and other Core Courses as assigned.
  • Required, high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to present a positive, professional image.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred designation, NALP is a plus.
  • Preferred prior leasing or sales experience.
  • Yardi software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with organizational guidelines and procedures, demonstrating ethical, tactful behavior, and integrity.
  • Takes ownership and accountability for decisions and actions.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members.
  • Observes and enforces company values, goals, and the Cove vision statement to KNOW IT, OWN IT and SHOW IT.
  • Provides professional, honest, and courteous customer service to residents and prospective residents, including phone interaction, email follow ups and general professional communication.
  • Effective conversion of phone traffic into appointments, proper management of the CRM que, quality touring of apartments, conversion of touring to new leases, and retention of new residents.
  • Engages in quality assurance for move-in conditions and resident move-outs.
  • Interacts professionally and effectively with various customers (both internal and external) in both routine and non-routine situations.
  • Forms objectives, prioritizes appropriately, manages multiple tasks, and produces work that is comprehensive in scope, complete in detail and accurate in content.
  • Delivers an appropriate level of follow-through for problems, consistently meets deadlines, and sees issues to a resolution.
  • Monitors condition of leasing path, model, common areas and any property signage and ensures all are in outstanding condition. Daily amenities open and closing procedures are followed, and inspections are respected.
  • Work products and reports are timely, consistent, accurate and thorough, including but not limited to, traffic reports, CRM que, daily availability, lease documentation and guest cards.
