Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Previous leasing associate experience.
  • The position requires the ability to deal well with people and get them to feel comfortable quickly.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • The position requires effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid Drivers License

Responsibilities

  • Resident selection and screening according to the property's current Resident Selection Criteria.
  • Processing of all applications subsidized and market applicants.
  • Responsible for the preparation and status of the vacancy report, traffic reports and status of move out notices.
  • Maintain the property's waiting list according to the guidelines set forth by the New Jersey Housing Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA) and CRM Residential.
  • Maintain Leasing Center in an orderly and professional manner and according to established office hours.
  • Responsible for all follow-up with applicants.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Maintenance Supervisor projected ready dates of apartments that have already been pre-leased.
  • Maintain vacancy board in Management Office which will match weekly vacancy report.
  • Maintain accurate and updated resident information cards.
  • Attend seminars and trade association meetings as recommended by the New Jersey Housing Mortgage Finance Agency and CRM.
  • Participate in the move-in orientation in various ways.
