About The Position

Peak Living is seeking a qualified Leasing Specialist with tax credit experience to join our team. At Peak Living, we are a fast-growing property management company with communities across the United States, and we believe successful growth comes from building strong teams, developing our people, and empowering employees to make an impact. This position will support two communities: 3 days per week at Brittany Greens in Brigham City and 2 days per week at Providence Pointe in Logan. Under the direction of the Community Manager, the Leasing Specialist supports the day-to-day operations of the community with a strong focus on customer service, leasing, resident retention, and compliance with affordable housing and tax credit requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced in LIHTC compliance and leasing operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of onsite leasing experience in multifamily housing, hospitality, or a related customer service field
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in LIHTC/tax credit communities
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English

Nice To Haves

  • HCCP (Housing Credit Certified Professional) designation preferred
  • COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist) designation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents
  • Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including: Responding to phone and internet inquiries, Greeting prospective residents, Conducting community and apartment tours, Scheduling appointments and follow-up communication, Preparing quotes and securing deposits, Assisting applicants with rental applications and screening processes
  • Ensure compliance with all LIHTC/tax credit regulations and community policies
  • Assist with certifications, recertifications, and required compliance documentation
  • Prepare lease agreements, renewals, and related paperwork accurately and timely
  • Deliver renewal offers and support lease renewal efforts to maximize occupancy and resident retention
  • Review resident accounts for unpaid balances and late fees
  • Communicate professionally with residents regarding delinquency and payment expectations
  • Support collection efforts and enforce lease terms in accordance with company policies
  • Assist with resident events, newsletters, and community engagement initiatives
  • Maintain organized resident files and accurate records
  • Support overall community operations as directed by the Community Manager
