The Leasing Professional is the front line of the business, acting as a closer with professionalism, urgency, and accountability. This role controls first impressions, influences occupancy, and directly impacts revenue. The mission is to convert interest into leases, deliver an exceptional resident experience, and represent the company's standard in every interaction. Every prospect interaction and lease counts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in leasing, sales, or customer service strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (I Love Leasing)
  • Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Willingness to work weekends and maintain a flexible schedule
  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all inquiries—phone, email, and in-person—with speed and professionalism.
  • Conduct confident, structured property tours that highlight value.
  • Guide prospects through applications, documentation, and lease execution.
  • Overcome objections and close decisively.
  • Maintain mastery of pricing, availability, floor plans, amenities, and incentives.
  • Create a welcoming, professional environment for current and future residents.
  • Address resident concerns with urgency and ownership.
  • Partner with maintenance and management to ensure follow-through.
  • Support retention by reinforcing value and community standards.
  • Assist in executing on-site and off-site marketing initiatives.
  • Participate in outreach efforts to drive traffic and brand awareness.
  • Ensure online listings, ILS platforms, and social channels are accurate and current.
  • Maintain clean, accurate records of prospect interactions and leases.
  • Process applications and follow up consistently.
  • Conduct market surveys and monitor competition to stay competitive.
  • Use CRM and property management systems with discipline.
  • Collaborate with property management to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and performance discussions.
  • Assist with resident events that strengthen community and retention.
