About The Position

The Leasing Agent has full responsibility for site marketing and leasing, application processing, review and documentation, program compliance, wait list process, and unit-file maintenance.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of previous low-income housing property leasing
Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (e.g., Yardi).
Ability to work weekends and flexible hours as needed.
Professional demeanor and a positive attitude.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner at all times.
Regular attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
Intermediate level experience in computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and community software applications.

Responsibilities

Greet prospective residents, conduct property tours, and highlight community features and benefits.
Respond promptly to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
Process rental applications, conduct background checks, and prepare lease agreements.
Maintain accurate records of leasing activity, traffic, and follow-ups.
Assist with marketing efforts, including online listings, social media, and community outreach.
Ensure model units and common areas are clean and presentable.
Support resident retention efforts and respond to service requests or concerns.
Collaborate with the property management team to meet occupancy and revenue goals.
Performs duties in compliance with all applicable fair housing, federal, state, and local statutes, and in compliance with all loan, grant, or program requirements.
Participate in training in order to comply with new or existing laws.
