About The Position

The Leasing Agent will be the face of the community, serving as the first impression for prospective and current residents. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service, taking initiative, and remaining flexible to meet the community's day-to-day needs. The Leasing Agent will concentrate on executing core leasing activities, building rapport with prospective residents, and managing administrative tasks under direct supervision.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of previous leasing experience OR experience in a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of federal and/or local fair housing laws preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Yardi experience preferred.
  • Driver’s License and reliable means of transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Stands and greets all visitors, current and prospective residents with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Offers a professional atmosphere in the leasing office and any other areas where prospective residents and current residents might interact.
  • Handles day-to-day issues with current residents and escalates to management as needed.
  • Coordinates the renewals of existing leases.
  • Plans and oversees resident activities as requested by the Property Manager.
  • Completes applications, leases, and lease files for each resident in a professional, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Leads leasing and marketing efforts at the community by giving tours, answering calls, assisting with files, planning resident events, and in other capacities as needed.
  • Ensures all models and market readies are inspected daily before showing to ensure their quality appearance.
  • Inspects the property on a regular basis and addresses any deficiencies.
  • Understands and applies sales and closing techniques.
  • Collects rent and manages resident accounts.
  • Completes market studies each week and possesses extensive knowledge of the sub-market.
  • Assists posting on social media outlets for marketing for internal and external customers.
  • Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other Federal, State, and Local laws pertaining to Multi-Family Housing.
