About The Position

Westport Properties (WPI) is seeking a Full-Time Leasing Agent for their location in Lawrence, KS. The role involves managing daily office procedures, handling leasing inquiries, conducting tenant showings, and ensuring a positive resident experience from move-in to move-out. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for resolving resident concerns, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations, maintaining office supplies, and ensuring the cleanliness and professional appearance of the office, clubhouse, and property. Data entry and management of property management software, including rent roll and marketing, are key duties. The position also requires maintaining the confidentiality of customer information, coordinating with the maintenance team for work orders and unit turns, building positive vendor relationships, obtaining bids, managing capital projects, and monitoring vendor performance. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, plus a generous leasing and occupancy bonus structure.

Responsibilities

  • Completing daily required office procedures
  • Answering the phone for leasing inquiries and tenant requirements
  • Tenant showings
  • Creating a positive resident experience from move in to move out
  • Making residents and others feel welcome
  • Resolving residents� concerns
  • Following all federal Fair Housing and Landlord/Tenant laws and regulations as well as complying with all applicable federal, state, county and city regulations
  • Ensuring office supplies are adequate for the needs of the property
  • Maintaining the office/clubhouse/leasing area as well as walking the property daily to maintain good curb appeal
  • Organizing office work area to reduce clutter and present a professional appearance
  • Data entry to the property management software
  • Managing property management software for rent roll, marketing, etc.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of customers personal information
  • Scheduling with the maintenance team for timely response to all work orders, unit turns and capital projects
  • Creating and maintaining positive and productive vendor relationships
  • Obtaining bids and managing capital projects
  • Monitoring vendor performance
  • Many other daily tasks
