About The Position

This role is for a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Leasing Consultant. The ideal candidate is outgoing, highly organized, and passionate about customer service. Strong communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a positive attitude are essential. The Leasing Agent will welcome prospective residents, assist with property tours, provide accurate information, process applications, secure leases, and assist with renewals, all while adhering to Fair Housing Laws and company policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within multi-family Property Management.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service and sales experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate required.
  • Valid Driver's License, a good driving record, current motor vehicle insurance which meets State requirements.
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps, property management-related software, email, internet, social media).
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug screening.

  • Experience in hospitality, retail, sales, or customer service will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome prospective residents and assist with property tours.
  • Provide accurate information about apartment homes.
  • Properly process rental applications.
  • Secure lease agreements from qualified persons.
  • Assist with lease renewals.
  • Conduct all job duties in accordance with Fair Housing Laws and Company policy.
  • Support the overall objective of meeting the expectations of the Client, based on the respective financial operating budget and management agreement.
  • Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in the daily overall operations of the apartment community.
  • Maintain positive, professional, and effective communication with applicants, residents, vendors, clients, and guests.
  • Maintain occupancy levels as established by owner/budget expectations.
  • Exhibit professional leasing techniques.
  • Assist with the completion of the monthly Market Surveys and analysis.
  • Assist with advertising and marketing strategies for the apartment community as needed.
  • Exhibit closing ratios in regards phone and walk-in traffic per Cornerstone policy.
  • Assist with ensuring that all online marketing sources are updated daily.
  • Promote positive resident/management relations to retain desirable residents.
  • Place customer need requests and follow up as number one priority.
  • Assist with resident retention programs.
  • Ensure the safety, comfort, and privacy of all property residents.
  • Ensure move-in orientation is completed consistently with new residents.
  • Maintain appropriate resident files including forms, leases, documents in accordance with Cornerstone Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure the daily integrity and confidentiality of resident files.
  • Ensure that documents and reporting systems are maintained, updated, and organized.
  • Assist in periodic reporting requirements as requested.
  • Ensure compliance of risk management items such as reporting timely and all injuries, illnesses, property damage following proper standard operating procedures.
  • Assist residents with reporting of maintenance needs.
  • Document facility and maintenance needs and ensure timely completion.
  • Ongoing monitoring of the physical asset and identifying concerns with immediate supervisor.
  • Follow up on maintenance requests to promote resident communication and satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
