About The Position
Evergreen Real Estate is hiring an experienced AFFORDABLE Leasing Agent to join our team at a new luxury community located in the heart of Downtown Nashville, TN. We are looking for a Leasing Agent with Affordable Housing experience who is organized, dependable, and enjoys working with residents and prospective residents.
Requirements
- Previous Affordable Housing experience required or strongly preferred
- Experience with LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, or other income-restricted housing programs
- Knowledge of Affordable Housing compliance and certification requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Professional and dependable
- Comfortable working with residents from diverse backgrounds
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Previous leasing or property management experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Lease apartments and assist with maintaining occupancy
- Respond to leasing inquiries by phone, email, and in person
- Greet prospective residents and conduct property tours
- Process rental applications and supporting documentation
- Complete income certifications and recertifications
- Maintain accurate resident files and leasing records
- Verify income and other eligibility documentation
- Follow Affordable Housing program requirements and guidelines
- Assist with LIHTC housing programs
- Prepare and process lease paperwork
- Communicate with residents regarding leasing requirements and documentation
- Follow up with prospective residents throughout the leasing process
- Assist with resident move-ins and move-outs
- Maintain organized and up-to-date files
- Work closely with property management and maintenance staff
- Help address resident questions and concerns
- Assist with resident retention and maintaining a positive community environment
- Follow company policies and Fair Housing requirements
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Provide professional and friendly customer service
