As a Lease Operator you’ll be responsible for the daily maintenance of a designated route or group of oil and gas wells. In addition, you’ll develop and demonstrate essential operating skills through ongoing training and by working with multi-well pads, compressors, and various artificial lift methods. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Minimum six (6) months of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role (for Lease Operator I)
Minimum two (2) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role (for Lease Operator II)
Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role (for Lease Operator III)
Minimum six (6) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role (for Lease Operator Sr)
Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
Must be willing to carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
Must be willing to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
Must be willing to work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
Must be willing to use hand tools
Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
Demonstrates proficiency and ability to adopt technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and basic knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers

Responsibilities

Conducts production tests and perform routine repairs
Completes operational checks of assigned wells/equipment and identify and report changes in individual well performance
Performs minor maintenance of equipment
Gauges tanks and prepare for sale and manage fluid inventory on production facilities
Lights gas-fired vessels/emission control devices
Conducts environmental and Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) audits to assess field operations, buildings, facilities, tools, and equipment
Other duties as assigned
