About The Position

INSPYR Solutions is seeking an experienced Lease Analyst for a contract assignment through the first quarter of 2027. This role will support the Senior Lease Analyst on lease administration, acquisition cleanup projects, ownership research, and future payment analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with New Mexico state and federal lease processing, along with a solid understanding of oil and gas land agreements and contract interpretation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Lease Analyst, Land Analyst, Lease Administration, or related oil and gas industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience processing and administering New Mexico state and federal leases.
  • Strong understanding of: Oil and Gas Leases, Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs), Rights-of-Way (ROWs), Assignment and acquisition documents, Ownership and payment obligations.
  • Experience conducting ownership, title, and contractual research.
  • Ability to interpret complex legal and land documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with lease management systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with My Land AKA My Quorum software is a must.
  • Strong MS Excel experience required.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting acquisition and divestiture (A&D) projects.
  • Knowledge of federal leasing regulations and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) processes.
  • Experience working with large E&P operators.
  • Familiarity with land and lease administration databases.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Lease Analyst in managing lease administration and cleanup initiatives related to existing acquisitions.
  • Review, analysis, and interpret oil and gas agreements, including: Oil and Gas Leases, Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs), Rights-of-Way, Surface Use Agreements and related land documents.
  • Process and analyze New Mexico state and federal lease obligations, payments, and ownership interests.
  • Conduct title and ownership research to identify payment requirements and verify lease obligations.
  • Assist with acquisition integration projects by reconciling lease records and resolving data discrepancies.
  • Research and validate ownership information to support future royalty, rental, and lease-related payments.
  • Review contract terms to ensure compliance with operational and financial obligations.
  • Work with land, accounting, legal, and operations teams to resolve lease and ownership issues.
  • Maintain accurate lease records and support documentation within company systems.
