About The Position

Join a dynamic team as a Lease Analyst where you will be responsible for managing lease abstracts and amendments, maintaining lease data, and supporting property management operations. Your expertise will help ensure accurate reporting and financial analysis within a leading commercial real estate company.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of leases and lease abstracts/amendments.
  • 3 years of experience in commercial real estate/leasing.
  • Proficiency in lease abstraction and interpretation.
  • Experience with invoicing and Common Area Maintenance (CAM).
  • Strong skills in Excel and reconciliation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field preferred.
  • Experience with accounts payable/receivable.
  • Familiarity with commercial real estate and portfolio variance analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Create and perform abstracts for all new leases and amendments, completing abstract packages for review.
  • Set up and maintain leases in property management software.
  • Interpret leases and lease language, entering data into the system and handling reporting.
  • Set up and maintain pass-through worksheets for Common Area Maintenance and Real Estate Taxes.
  • Review leases and abstractions for accuracy.
  • Calculate percentage rent charges where appropriate.
  • Input cash receipts in property management software and follow standard operating procedures for monthly rent collections.
  • Collaborate with Property Managers to research and evaluate outstanding issues related to tenant accounts, including Common Area Maintenance expenses and budget analysis.
  • Maintain data in the database, ensuring quality assurance for data abstracted and entered.
  • Perform invoice reviews to ensure alignment with tenant obligations for payment.
  • Produce monthly recurring rent variance reports and provide applicable variance explanations.
  • Conduct preliminary reviews of operating expenses to ensure calculations are correct and supported by documentation.
  • Interact with landlords and assist in the creation of standard forms, policies, and procedures.
  • Produce required reports and analyses, including financial evaluations.
